Kobbie Mainoo reportedly wants to join Napoli as he forces his way out of Manchester United.
Mainoo is still unhappy about the lack of playing time he is getting with the Red Devils under manager Ruben Amorim who has no plans to implement him into the side anytime soon, despite their troubles.
The England midfielder’s United career has stalled under Amorim, and he even requested a loan move, which never materialized in the end. The 20-year-old is an academy product of the club but despite his strong ties to United, it looks like he wants out.
Despite being linked with Real Madrid, The Daily Mail report that Mainoo wants to follow in the footsteps of Scott McTominay and Rasmus Hojlund and head to Napoli who are very interested in bringing him in within the next two transfer windows.
This comes after the fact that he has only started 12 of Ruben Amorim's 33 Premier League games in charge at United, which is not acceptable for the 20-year-old who was once tipped to be the future of the club.
The midfielder was not part of England manager Thomas Tuchel's latest squad due to a lack of minutes at United and whilst he stays at the club he has no hope of ever featuring for the Three Lions again.
Mainoo, who is contracted to United until 2027, is reported to be open to moving to Napoli either on loan or permanently as he aims to leave the Premier League and form his own path.
