The defender arrives from Chelsea FC and will play in yellow for the next seven seasons
Villarreal CF and Chelsea FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of Renato Veiga, who will play for the Yellows for the next seven seasons, until June 2032.
The Portuguese defender will complete his first training session this Saturday alongside his new teammates under the guidance of Marcelino García Toral. The club will soon announce further details regarding his official presentation as a Villarreal CF player.
Renato Palma Veiga (Lisbon, Portugal, 29th July 2003) is a superb left-footed centre-back, tall, strong and technically gifted. He stands out for his physical power, his ability in one-on-one duels and his excellent ball-striking ability. In addition to being able to play on either side of central defence, he can also operate as a left-back or even as a midfielder. A true Champions-League level defender.
At just 22 years of age, the Portuguese defender of Cape Verdean descent, who came through the youth ranks at Sporting CP, has already played for Juventus FC, Chelsea FC, FC Basel and FC Augsburg. He is also a full international with Portugal, with whom he recently won the UEFA Nations League.
