Former Chelsea star Thiago Silva's son has earned a call-up to England's Under-15s squad.
Iago, who's won multiple tournaments in the Blues' academy, has been included in a Three Lions squad for a training camp this week.
Despite his father earning 113 caps for the Brazilian national team, Iago is eligible to play for England through residency. The youngster has lived in west London since Thiago joined Chelsea from Paris-Saint Germain in 2020.
And it seems Iago has stayed in London since Thiago departed for Fluminese in the summer of 2024.
Taking to Instagram after receiving news of his call-up, the talented youngster wrote: 'Proud moment to be invited to my first England camp. The hard work continues.'
Iago's decision to play for England at youth level does not however end his chances of later switching his allegiances to the Brazilian national team.
Thiago's youngest son is not the only budding footballer in the Silva family. His older brother, Isago, is also a star of Chelsea's academy.
The 16-year-old defender has progressed through the prestigious Stamford Bridge youth setup from Under-13 to Under-18 level and is not far off earning a first-team call-up.
First-team boss Enzo Maresca added a raft of academy prospects to his Champions League B squad list last week, with the Brazilian youngster one of those included.
If he does soon earn a call up to first-team duty, Isago would fulfill a 'dream' his father's, who is still playing top flight football in Brazil at the age of 41.
Speaking during his Chelsea days, the legendary centre back said: 'I have to say, at every club I've been at, I've felt a lot of love from the clubs themselves and the fans, but here it feels a little bit different, because of the fact that my kids are playing in the team too.
'For me, it would be a dream to see them play professionally at Chelsea. I love watching them, ultimately, and I try to help them as much as I can.
'I love seeing my kids playing here, my wife is here all the time and even wants to be at every away game. I think she realises that time is running out slightly, so she wants to make the most of the last few years of my career.
'When I got here, it felt like love at first sight, to be honest, and I'm still very proud to be here.'
Thiago made 113 appearances for Brazil over a 14-year period before eventually calling time on his international career in 2022. He appeared in four different World Cups and led his country to the tournaments in both 2014 and 2022.
After becoming a household name in European football at AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, Thiago joined Chelsea in 2020 under Frank Lampard.
He made 155 appearances for the Blues over four years and was an integral part of their Champions League-winning squad of 2021, beating Man City 1-0 in the final.
