Araujo: It's tough to lose an important home game, we must play stronger

  /  autty

Liverpool lost 0-3 at home to Manchester City. After the match, Araujo spoke to TNT Sports Mexico about the team's home performance, the impact of the red card, his adaptation to the Premier League, and advice Luis Suárez gave him.

Hello, Ronald. Thank you very much for taking the time to speak with TNT Sports Mexico. There was a lot of discussion before the match, and now, after such a painful loss at Anfield, how do you feel?

Honestly, it's very sad, really sad. We lost an important home game. It's tough that we couldn't get any points in a home Premier League match. With such fan support, we have to play more aggressively at home, we have to win and get three points. I think we need to put in more effort to fight for victory. We are working on it and must continue to do so.

What areas do you think the team needs to improve in for the rest of the season?

I think we need to improve in all aspects. For example, today we had many chances to score first, and maybe we could have scored a goal, which would have allowed us to play more calmly. Because in my opinion, before the red card, we played with great intensity and created chances, and we dominated challenges in the first half.

After someone was sent off, the game obviously changed. The opponent had more space. They are a team that, if you give them space, can control the ball for a long time and dominate possession. They found space and scored goals, and then the situation became very difficult for us.

I wanted to ask, how do you feel playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, and experiencing the atmosphere and environment of stadiums in England? Also, have you spoken with club legend Luis Suárez? What did he tell you?

Honestly, I feel very good personally, very, very comfortable playing here. The pace of the game is indeed different from La Liga, but I feel good. I think I prepared very well, so I feel very comfortable playing here now. From the moment I arrived, my teammates welcomed me very well, and the coach showed me his trust. I got the playing time I needed, and I'm very happy about that.

As for Luis, yes, we stay in touch. When I decided to come here, I called him and we talked. He told me that this is a great club, just like Barcelona, and the fans are amazing. He told me to give my all here.
