On July 28, according to ESPN Brazil, Arsenal are formally preparing a £75 million bid for Newcastle midfielder Guimaraes, including a fixed transfer fee of £70 million. It is understood that there is already optimism among those involved in the negotiations that the transfer will ultimately be completed.

Arsenal's latest offer totals £75 million, with £70 million as a fixed transfer fee and an additional £5 million paid in bonus clauses.

Newcastle United are also aware that Bruno Guimaraes has been swayed by Arsenal's invitation. However, the Brazilian midfielder will not pressure the club to facilitate the transfer, nor will he create conflict with the team.

Another important factor influencing Newcastle United's asking price is that Lyon holds a 20% share of the resale profit from this deal.

The "resale profit" mentioned here refers to the difference between the transfer fee Newcastle United paid when they initially signed Bruno Guimaraes and the amount received from selling the player in the future.

Bruno left French football for England in 2022 when Newcastle United signed him from Lyon for a transfer fee of 50 million euros, or approximately £43 million. Negotiators who spoke with reporters believe there is a high probability that the two clubs will eventually reach an agreement.

Bruno, who previously participated in the World Cup with the Brazilian national team, is currently on vacation. However, he plans to return to England this Friday (31st).
