Atalanta coach Ivan Juric insists the 4-0 scoreline flattered PSG last night.
PSG opened up their Champions League defence with a resounding result through goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Marquinhos, Goncalo Ramos and Nuno Mendes.
Juric said afterwards, "They started very strong, and we should have done better. They scored early, but I saw a good Atalanta for 20-30 minutes, where we could have equalized.
"Then PSG scored easily, and I didn't like that. De Ketelaere and Scalvini suffered an adductor problem while slipping. We'll evaluate the situation in the coming days.
"We need to be clear-headed in analyzing this match. I think PSG are on a different level than what we see around. I saw a performance that gives us courage for the future."
Juric added, "I think it helps us understand what it takes to compete at a certain level. The finish line is still a long way off, but by recovering all our missing players, we can be competitive."
