Bernal Rejects Premier League Offers to Remain at Barcelona

  /  autty

According to Mundo Deportivo, Bernal has no intention of leaving Barcelona and has rejected interest from Premier League clubs and other teams.

Bernal's focus remains solely on Barcelona. During this transfer window, several top clubs, particularly from the Premier League, have attempted to convince him to leave, but his response has consistently been the same: he is 100% committed to staying at Barcelona. His improved performances last season, especially following his recovery from a knee injury, have attracted interest from multiple clubs who have been impressed by his progress.

Barcelona has always viewed Bernal as a key player for the future and has never entertained the possibility of selling him. His release clause is set at €500 million, with his contract running until 2029. At Camp Nou, Barcelona considers him unsellable.

Several European clubs have made inquiries about his contract situation, with some showing particular interest. Roma's name emerged earlier, followed by reports of interest from Al Nassr. These inquiries have occurred over the past year. In the most recent transfer window, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal again inquired about his availability, but none pursued a move further.

Bernal will not leave Barcelona. After sustaining an injury during the third round of the 2024-25 La Liga season in an away match against Rayo Vallecano, Barcelona moved quickly to secure him with a new contract. The two parties reached a long-term renewal agreement, further demonstrating the club's confidence in his future.

The €500 million release clause underscores his importance to Barcelona. Consequently, the offers and interest he has received have not altered his plans to remain at the club.
