Real Madrid's Bernardo Silva has spoken about his teammate Vinicius, who is going through a very difficult period.
Vinicius has faced heavy criticism this season and was later suspended for four La Liga games, and he has struggled to regain his usual form. The emergence of teammate Yan Diomande on the left wing has complicated his situation further.
Vinicius played in yesterday's Champions League match against AEK Athens, but his performance was subdued, which will only add to the criticism he faces.
Bernardo Silva told AS: "I am very happy because the team has welcomed me like family. I am very happy in Madrid. I am trying to improve and strengthen my relationship with my teammates."
He added: "Vinicius has been a very important player for Real Madrid for many years, and everyone at the club understands his importance."
The Portuguese player concluded by stressing Vinicius's importance: "We need players like him to win."
