Former Juventus coach Fabio Capello has sympathy for Igor Tudor after Monday's dismissal.
Capello, speaking with La Gazzetta dello Sport, also can see former Italy and Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti taking the job.
He said, "The original sin was the half-hearted confidence the club gave him. Only later did they confirm him and renew his contract.
"It's not like it used to be. Now top players rarely choose Serie A, and clubs are forced to rely on reinforcements who can't handle the pressure of the big teams."
On Spalletti, Capello also said: "He's a valuable and experienced coach; he's already led big clubs and won.
"He has the right charisma, and paradoxically, the most positive aspect is the league table, given that the Bianconeri are six points off the top."
