Chelsea plan formal offer for Yildiz, prepare €10m-a-year contract

According to Turin Sport, Juventus and Yildiz have slowed down in their contract extension talks, with Chelsea ready to offer him €10 million a year.

Reports suggest that Juventus' contract extension talks with Yildiz have slowed down in recent weeks due to a gap that still exists on a financial level.

Yildiz is currently earning €1.5 million per year, while the gap between Juventus's latest offer and the player's side's demands is around €500,000 per year.

More specifically, Yildiz and his team would like to increase his annual salary to over €5 million - a declarative demand, to be sure.

It's a top-flight star-level contract, enough to make him the fourth-highest paid player on the team. The club wanted to use his talent and image as a symbol of rebuilding - a "godsend" even for marketing purposes.

In other words, the deal goes beyond football - and with this amount of money, it's never just about football.

With these conditions in mind, the Turkish striker's agency team travelled to Turin several times to meet with Juventus's top management, with the aim of completing the contract extension in the shortest possible time and gradually removing all obstacles.

Juventus thought that the renewal process would not be so complicated, but they still maintain full confidence.

At the moment, Juventus's top management is not considering a "future without Yildiz".

They will continue to move forward with the negotiations and continue to meet to try to find a middle ground and resolve the impasse.

If they still can't reach an agreement? At that point, both sides may seriously consider a superb offer from overseas - Chelsea are already planning to make a formal offer next spring (with or without a contract extension).

For the player, the contract prepared by Chelsea would be a top deal - up to €10 million a year (including bonuses).

For the club, the offer matches the importance they place on the Juve No.10.

If negotiations reach this stage, the transfer deal could total close to "nine figures", in line with the current value of the hottest star in European football.
