According to David Ornstein, Noni Madueke is expected to be sidelined for around 2 months with knee injury.

David Ornstein:

Arsenal winger Noni Madueke faces around two months out after sustaining a knee injury during Sunday’s 1-1 draw with Manchester City.

The 23-year-old started the fixture but was substituted for the returning Bukayo Saka at half-time.

“He had an issue very early in the match and he wasn’t well enough to continue,” head coach Mikel Arteta said after the game.

Scans on Monday showed Madueke has avoided an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury but the Englishman will likely miss the next chunk of Arsenal’s fixtures, as well as at least one international window for his country.

Madueke is the latest Arsenal forward to be afflicted with an injury. Kai Havertz is yet to return after surgery on a knee issue in late August, while Gabriel Jesus tore the ACL in his left knee in January, leaving summer signing Victor Gyokeres as the side’s only recognised No 9.

Arsenal are also without captain Martin Odegaard, who has struggled with a shoulder injury at the start of this season.

Madueke joined Arsenal from Chelsea for an initial £48.5million $65.5m in the summer, and he has featured in all six of their matches in the 2025-26 season.

The north London club have won three of their first five Premier League games and are next in action against Port Vale in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday.
