Bayern Munich boss Vincent Kompany played down the severity of Alphonso Davies' injury despite the Canadian having to be substituted in their 3-2 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

The league leaders moved nine points clear at the top of the Bundesliga as Harry Kane continued his goal-laden campaign by scoring another brace, though they were forced to hold on as their opponents scored twice in the last 15 minutes.
Davies went down in the early stages of the second half after a foul from Mahmoud Dahoud and appeared to be visibly distressed as he limped off the pitch, with his Bayern team-mates consoling him.
The club have since confirmed that the Canada international has suffered a torn muscle fibre in his right hamstring, but Kompany believes he will return to action in the not too distant future.
"It doesn't look too bad," Kompany said after the match on DAZN.
"I don't know if it will be two or four weeks. But I have a feeling it won't take that long."

Club captain Joshua Kimmich admitted that Davies was disconsolate on the field but seemed to be in a better state of mind once he had returned to the dressing room.
Kimmich said: "He was very down on the pitch, very sad because he quickly realised that it was an injury. I don't know exactly what he has.
"In the dressing room, he was a bit more composed. Let's see what comes out.
"Now a picture will be taken, then we hope that it won't be too long a downtime."
Davies has made 12 appearances for the Bavarian outfit this season, having only just returned from a lengthy lay-off, having been sidelined since March 2025 with an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury.
Kompany rued his side's wastefulness in front of goal despite the three-goal advantage at one stage, but he was unconcerned about the latter stages of the match, which saw Frankfurt almost stage an unlikely comeback.
“We missed so many chances," he said.
"Up until 3-0, we completely dominated the game. Unfortunately we conceded a penalty and then gifted them a second goal.
"Frankfurt then tried and pushed until the end for an equaliser. In the end we got the three points, which is the most important thing."
