Mattia Liberali believes Cesc Fabregas is the perfect manager to aid his development after joining Como from Serie B side Catanzaro on Wednesday.

Liberali has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with Como, who will play in the Champions League this season, after his €6m release clause was activated.
The 19-year-old, who rose through AC Milan's academy ranks, was reportedly wanted by his former club, but he has instead chosen to sign for Como.
He made 29 league appearances for Catanzaro in 2025-26, scoring three goals and providing four assists to help his team finish fifth and in the promotion play-offs first round.
Catanzaro played out a 2-2 draw on aggregate against Monza across both legs of the play-off final, but because their opponents finished higher in the league table, they were promoted to Serie A having been relegated the season before.
"It's a real thrill to be able to start my journey at Como," Liberali told the club website.
"I'm really keen to develop and improve, and I've found we share a lot of common ground with the club in this regard.
"I've also spoken to the manager, and I think the playing philosophy is perfect for me. I can't wait to take to the pitch at the Sinigaglia and meet the fans."

Liberali is Como's fourth addition this summer.
Alvaro Morata has made his loan move from last term permanent, while Andres Cuenca, Luis Milla and Kaiki Bruno da Silva have also moved to the club.
"Mattia is a creative player with excellent technical ability and confidence in possession," Fabregas said.
"He can operate in tight spaces, create chances and contribute in the final third. We believe his qualities fit our style and look forward to helping him continue his development."
Como begin their Serie A campaign away to Udinese on August 22 before returning to Stadio Giuseppe Sinigaglia on September 13 against Bologna.
