Dominik Szoboszlai has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT:
The Hungary international put pen to paper to extend his deal at the Reds ahead of the start of the 2026-27 campaign.
The forthcoming season will be Szoboszlai’s fourth with the club since his arrival from RB Leipzig during the summer of 2023, and a first under head coach Andoni Iraola.
“It’s maybe my biggest day,” the No.8 told Liverpoolfc.com.
“There are a couple in front of it – probably when I signed for Liverpool the first one and when I got my baby, of course. But in my football career, I can say this is in the top three.
“Very happy. [I] can’t wait to go again and again and again. I’m just happy to be here, as I said many times.”
To date, Szoboszlai has made 147 appearances for Liverpool across all competitions, scoring 28 times.
His first term at Anfield featured success in the Carabao Cup, preceding a Premier League title triumph the midfielder was an integral part of in 2024-25.
Szoboszlai then delivered his highest individual output for the Reds during the past campaign, tallying 13 goals and 12 assists from 53 matches.
He was duly selected by supporters as the men’s team’s Standard Chartered Player of the Season.
“There’s always more to come. I’m never happy,” the 25-year-old said.
“No, I’m happy with myself but I think I can do even better. I think that’s why I’m sitting here, because that pushed me since I was a kid: that it was never enough. And I’m thinking the same now.
“I want to set the example. I want to be an example also for everyone, as much as I can.
“When I signed, I said I want to win everything. That didn’t change for a little moment either. It stayed the same: I want to win everything that is possible in this country, also let’s say the Champions League.
“I’m ready to go for it.”
