Former AC Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi would like to see Zinedine Zidane return to Juventus.
Speaking at the Trento Sports Festival over the weekend, Zizou left the door open to eventually coaching Juve.
And Sacchi would welcome the prospect, stating: "I ask myself: why isn't a coach who created such a beauty machine working? I know he wants to be France's coach, and that's understandable. As a footballer, he was a hero for his country, leading it first to conquer the world and then Europe."
He also told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "However, I confess I have hope. He was a great Juventus player, he became a champion wearing the black and white shirt, he had a mentor like Marcello Lippi as his coaching mentor, he learned from him, he followed his advice, so why not imagine him on the Juventus bench? Not immediately, not now, God forbid, also because I would be disrespectful towards (Igor) Tudor and his work."
Sacchi also stated: "I'd love for someone like Zidane, someone who has always prioritized attacking football, someone who believes in team play and talent serving the team, to enter the world of Serie A. Our league could only benefit from his presence. And then, Zidane on the Juventus bench would bring a touch of romance that, in contemporary football, is sometimes lacking. Think about it, Zizou."
