Lamine Sane, the iconic former captain of the Lions of Teranga, has been officially named head coach of Senegal’s Under-17 national team.
This appointment marks a turning point for the Senegalese legend, whose mission will be to pass on his experience and winning mentality to the next generation of national soccer players.
The new coach will immediately get down to business with the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in Morocco from May 13 to June 2.
Sane has little time to prepare his squad, but his natural leadership and knowledge of top-level competition are major assets in guiding the Lionceaux to the top of the continent.
