According to Sky Germany reporter Florian Plettenberg on social media, Manchester United's 16-year-old rising star JJ Gabriel has reached a verbal agreement with Real Madrid, and the deal is moving toward completion.

It is understood that Real Madrid had previously been the favorite to sign him. Nothing has been signed by either party yet, so Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain remain on standby.
The plan is for the 16-year-old to leave Manchester United as early as January. Because he holds an EU passport, the move is expected to be completed in 2027.
Bayern had previously stayed in contact but are now regarded as outside contenders, partly because of the financial package and other factors on Real Madrid's side.
