According to Sky Sport Germany, the Red Bull Group is demanding compensation from the German Football Association (DFB) before agreeing to Klopp becoming the new coach of the German national team.

After Germany's unexpected elimination in the World Cup round of 32, Nagelsmann resigned as head coach. The DFB then entered into negotiations with former Liverpool coach Klopp, hoping he would take over.
Klopp currently serves as Red Bull's Global Head of Football, with a contract with the Red Bull Group extending until 2029. DFB President Bernd Neuendorf is in discussions with Red Bull.
However, some within the Red Bull Group are dissatisfied with the DFB's previous statement, as the DFB publicly confirmed contact with Klopp in the statement. Red Bull shareholders are therefore insisting that the DFB pay compensation, while the DFB has never before paid termination compensation for hiring a national team coach.
A delegation from the DFB, Klopp, and his agent Marc Kosicke are scheduled to hold their first meeting in New York next week, and senior Red Bull Group officials may also attend.
Klopp has confirmed his willingness to become the coach of the German national team and is ready to return to coaching two years after leaving Liverpool.
