According to Sky Sport Italia, after completing several signings, Como still hopes to strengthen its squad, and the current priority target is Chelsea center-back Trevoh Chalobah.
Fabregas's Como has already reached an agreement with the 1999-born defender on personal terms but has not yet agreed on a transfer fee with Chelsea. After Como submitted its latest offer, there is still a €5 million gap between the two parties in the fixed transfer fee and also a €5 million difference in performance-related add-ons.
Chalobah was previously on Inter Milan's transfer list, but Inter believed the overall cost of the deal was too high and therefore did not pursue it further.
Last season, Chalobah made 34 appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League, scoring 3 goals. He was also called up by Tuchel to the England World Cup squad but ultimately did not get to play.
