According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, after the sexual assault charges were dropped, the signing of Solet to Internazionale is in its final stages, with Udinese demanding €25 million, and a young U23 player might be included in the transfer negotiations.

The French center-back, a primary target for Internazionale's defense reinforcement this summer, is now very close to donning the Nerazzurri jersey. The sexual assault lawsuit that had entangled him for several months has now been officially closed and dismissed.

In May 2025, a woman in her 30s filed allegations claiming she was assaulted after a party with friends at the involved defender's home in the Friuli region. On May 28 this year, the Udinese Public Prosecutor's Office officially decided to drop the charges. Solet's lawyer, speaking to Ansa, expressed "strong satisfaction with this result of complete exoneration."

Internazionale can now fully proceed.

All personal terms with the player have been agreed upon: both parties will sign a contract until 2031, a tailor-made deal for him.

On the field, Solet is perfectly suited to all three defensive positions in the three-man defense system, similar to Chivu. During his time at Udinese, he primarily played as a right-sided center-back and possessed a strong ability to consistently push forward and assist in attacks. This past season was quite successful for him: he scored 3 goals in 38 appearances.

Next, the Nerazzurri management needs to engage in substantial transfer fee negotiations with Udinese. Their initial asking price is €25 million; however, in this deal, Internazionale might offer a young player from their U23 squad as a bargaining chip.

In fact, Solet has long been on Internazionale's scouting list. Ausilio and Marotta witnessed him score a goal for Udinese at San Siro and also saw his formidable defensive performance against Lautaro when he played for Red Bull Salzburg.

Previously, in an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Solet revealed that he had rejected an offer from Napoli and that he personally liked the city of Milan very much. Internazionale has clearly recorded all this key information.

Regarding his tactical role? He will be a right-sided center-back with a high degree of freedom to push forward and attack. Solet once said: "I came up through midfield, so for me, controlling the ball and participating in passing is very natural. I don't think too much about the risk of losing possession on the field." From this perspective, Solet's playing style is quite similar to Bisseck – Bayern Munich is currently closely monitoring this tall German defender. Solet also desires to carry the ball forward, aggressively pushing up to create numerical superiority in attack and penetrate the opponent's box. In this season's Serie A, he is the center-back with the most successful dribbles (42) and also ranks first in tackles and third in interceptions. He is definitely an all-around versatile player for the defensive line.
