Zico: Japan's comeback against Brazil was well-deserved

On 14th October local time, the Japanese team won the Kirin Cup against the Brazilian team with a 3-2 reversal. After the match, in an interview, Brazilian legend Zico commented on the performance of both teams in this match.

"It was a great comeback as Japan scored three goals in less than 30 minutes. The coach is the one responsible for deciding how to go about using the players, and Brazil prioritised scouting more players through rotation. After all, Carlo Ancelotti has only been in the job for a short period of time and still lacks sufficient knowledge of a number of players."

"No matter how you look at it, a loss like this can be a wake-up call for Brazil's players. They must not let up in the game. Japan's victory was well deserved, they are a very good team in their own right and they are completely different from the Korean team. Japan is extremely competitive these days and this match will be a good litmus test for Brazil."
