Allianz to host 2028 UCL final; Camp Nou, Wembley compete for 2029 rights

On 31 October, UEFA has announced the candidate venues for the 2028 and 2029 Champions League finals.

The 2028 Champions League final will be held at the Allianz Arena in Munich (only one city is vying for the title), while the 2029 Champions League final will be decided between Camp Nou and Wembley.

In the following season, Barcelona will strive to become the focus, competing with Wembley Stadium in London for the hosting rights. Camp Nou, currently undergoing renovations and not yet in use, is expected to host its first major European event.

Regarding other European competitions, UEFA has released the list of cities vying to host the Europa League and UEFA Europa League finals:

2028 Europa League: Lyon (France), Torino (Italy), Bucharest (Romania) or Belgrade (Serbia).

2029 Europa League: Lyon (France), Torino (Italy), Bucharest (Romania) or Ankara (Turkey).

2028 UEFA Europa League: Lille (France), Budapest (Hungary), Torino (Italy), Gdansk (Poland), Astana (Kazakhstan) or Almaty (Kazakhstan).

2029 UEFA Europa League: Helsinki (Finland), Lille (France), Budapest (Hungary), Torino (Italy), Gdansk (Poland), Astana (Kazakhstan) or Almaty (Kazakhstan).
