AEK FC announces the transfer of Serbian international striker Luka Jović, who had been playing for AC Milan for the past two years.
Luka Jović was born on December 23, 1997. He started his career at Red Star Belgrade and moved to Benfica in 2016.
A year later, he joined Eintracht Frankfurt, where he played for two seasons, scoring 36 goals in 75 matches in all competitions. He was a member of the team that won the 2018-19 German Cup and in the same season he was elected Bundesliga Best Striker by the Union of the Bundesliga players as Bundesliga Best Striker. He was also voted as a member of the best teams of the season in the German championship 2018-19 and the Europa League 2018-19.
His achievements attracted the interest of Real Madrid, who spent 60 million euros to buy him. With the great spanish club, he participated in the La Liga winning campaigns in 2019-20 and 2021-22 and the winning campaign of Champions League 2021-22.
In the 2022-23 season, Luka Jovic played for Fiorentina and scored 13 goals in 50 official matches. He then moved to AC Milan and spent with them the 2023-25 period, scoring 13 goals in 47 competitive matches. He was MVP of the Month for 'rossoneri' the last April.
The new striker of AEK FC is an international player with the Serbian National Team, with which he has 45 appearances and 11 goals and has participated in the 2018 and 2022 World Cups and in Euro 2024, where he scored one goal.
