U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces that it has acquired, on loan with a right of repurchase from Ipswich Town, the sporting services of player Arijanet Murić.

U.S. Sassuolo Calcio announces that it has acquired, on loan with an option to buy, the sporting services of footballer Arijanet Murić (goalkeeper, 1998) from Ipswich Town.
Murić was born in Schlieren, Switzerland, in 1998, grew up playing football in the youth sectors of Zürich and Grasshoppers before moving to Manchester City in 2015. With the Citizens, he remained until 2018, signing his first professional contract before being loaned to NAC Breda, making his debut in top-level football on 18 August 2018 in the Eredivisie. In the Netherlands, he stays very briefly as he will be immediately recalled to Manchester, and just one month later makes his debut in the League Cup with the English side, remaining in Manchester for the entire season.
In July 2022, he moves to Nottingham Forest before wearing the jerseys of Girona, Willem II, and Adama Demirspor on various European loan spells. In July 2022, he is bought by Burnley, with whom he wins the Championship in the first year and, at the end of the two-year period with the Clarets, plays 51 matches across the Second Division championship, Premier League, and national cups. In 2024, he is signed by Ipswich Town, with whom he makes 13 appearances in the Premier League in the last season.
With the national team jersey, he first chooses to represent Montenegro because of his origins, making his debut with the Under-21 team in September 2017. Then, also having Kosovar origins, since 2018 he decides to defend the goal of the senior Kosovo national team, with which he has so far amassed over 40 appearances.
