Roma midfielder Niccolo Pisilli is set to be offered to Bologna in a swap for Giovanni Fabbian.
Pisilli has managed only a handful of substitute appearances for the Giallorossi this season, with his style of game not suiting coach Gian Piero Gasperini's system.
Instead, TMW says he could be offered to Bologna for fellow midfielder Fabbian, who is regarded highly by Gasperini.
However, a reunion with his former Roma coach Daniele de Rossi at Genoa could also be on, with Pisilli being offered for Morten Frendrup.
For the moment, a deal with Bologna for Fabbian is seen as the more likely option.
