Nani oversaw the sale of Lucca to Napoli earlier this summer.
He told TMW: "We need to give him time. He's been catapulted into a great team. I have no doubt he'll do very well. I'm convinced Napoli made a great move.
"And the boy will prove his worth."
Nani added, "We're satisfied with the market we've conducted. We've achieved our objectives. We knew Lucca and Bijol could leave, partly due to specific requests and partly because it was right for them to go elsewhere to gain experience."
